The Civil Surgeon Conference is being held for the first time in Bangladesh. The two-day conference was started by Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
The Chief Advisor expressed his hope that country will be benefited by this conference. He think that through this Civil Surgeon Conference, civil surgeons can meet and discuss directly. Also many problems will be informed and resolved.
In this conference, Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Health Advisor Nurjahan Begum expressed that, “There is a clear lack of discipline and accountability in the health sector. No matter how many doctors and nurses are recruited, the desired success will not be achieved due to these shortages.”
According to Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, if civil surgeons want, it is possible to improve the quality of health and medical services by 25% with limited resources, if rules regulations are followed in health sectors.
Also said that, “It would be inappropriate to hold back depend on lack of resources and manpower. We must continue to provide medical services with what we have. At the same time, we must try to solve problems properly.”
