Dutt has made a bold shift in his career after 45 years in cinema.
He has starred in Shreeman vs Shreemati, a mainstream romantic cinema, at the age of 71.
His acting career, which began in the early 1980s under the guidance of the legendary Mrinal Sen, spans four and a half decades but includes just 27 films.
Dutt is very famous and has built a respected career as a singer and filmmaker.
“Shreeman vs Shreemati”, directed by Pathikrit Basu, Dutt aimed to experience something he felt was lacking in his career.
In the film, Mithun Chakraborty and Anjana Basu play a married couple who try to save their relationship post-divorce filing, the film also features Anjan Dutt as Anjana’s former flame.
Remarkably, both Anjan Datt and Mithun Chakraborty began their film career under Mrinal Sen’s guidance, yet “Shreeman vs Shreemati” is their inaugural on-screen collaboration.
Complementing the main storyline is Parambrata Chatterjee and Madhumita Sarcar also feature in thefilm as a younger couple whose story explores the difficulties of modern relationships.
