Bangladeshi Film ‘Utsab’ set to Grand International release across North America and UK

The highly anticipated Bangladeshi film “Utsab” directed by Tanim Noor is poised to make its mark on the international stage, with a simultaneous release scheduled for June 20th across major cinema chains in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Originally launched in Bangladesh during Eid-ul-Adha, the film’s growing popularity as paved the way for his significant global expansion.

Tanim Noor, the acclaimed director of “Utsab”, confirmed the news to media, expressing his anticipation about the film’s journey beyond state broader. “Our ‘Utsab’ is now set to grace the silver screens in Canada, America, and the UK,” Noor stated. “On June 20th, audiences can catch it at Canada’s Cineplex, America’s AMC, Regal, and Cinemark, and the UK’s Cine-world chains.” The final list of specific locations within this renowned cinema network is expected to be released by June 17, 2025.

“Utsab” marks a significant milestone as the 25th Bangladesh film distributed by Swapno Scarecrow, and its second international release of 2025. In a strategic partnership for its UK and Ireland release, Reverie Films is collaborating with Swapno Scarecrow, further bolstering the film’s reach.

Distinguished by its unique narrative, “Utsab” stands apart from other Eid releases. Unlike traditional dramas, it delves into a refreshing blend of humor, family dynamics, and intricate relationships, encapsulated by its intriguing tagline: “Statutory Warning- ‘do not watch without family’.” This playful caution hints at the film’s core theme, emphasizing the importance of shared viewing experiences.

The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, a rare feat in Bangladeshi cinema, featuring some of the industry’s most prominent figures. Audiences will witness stellar performance from Zahid Hasan, joya Ahsan, Opi Karim, Chanchal chowdury, afsana Mimi, Tariq Anam Khan, Azad Abul Kalam, Intekhab Dinar, Sunerrah Binte kamal, Sadia Ayman, and Soumya Jyoti.

Director Tanim Noor extended his gratitude to the audience for their overwhelming support, which has been instrumental in enabling “Utsab” to embark on its international journey.
