Commodities arrive from Russia for Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant at Mongla Port

A ship called ‘MV Pesco Olga’ docked with a Russian flag at Mongla Port. This ship carrying various types of electrical goods for the Rooppur Power Plant. It arrived at Jetty no. 6 on 12 May, 2025.
The Operation Manager Asim Kumar Saha of Shipping Agent Interport Shipping of this ship stated, “The Russian flagged ship left Russia’s Novorsky Port for Mongla Port with about 2,200 metric ton of electrical products in 1,298 packages has docked at the Mongla Port.
The imported Electrical products will be unloaded at the port jetty. Then, it will be transferred to the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant using the way of road and water.
