For the first time, Dean’s Awards and Merit Awards were presented to students of Begum Rokeya University (BRUR) who achieved outstanding results in the Bachelor (Honours) final examinations of the 2019–2020 academic session across all faculties and departments.
The awards were distributed on Sunday, June 29, at the university’s Academic Building-2 virtual classroom, where Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Hasibur Rashid attended as the chief guest and handed over honorary crests, certificates, and cheques to students from departments under six faculties.
During the event, the Vice Chancellor said, “Today is a memorable day for Begum Rokeya University.” He congratulated all students who had shown academic excellence at the undergraduate level and remarked that the certificates awarded today are highly valuable. He further noted that this recognition will inspire students to go further in their academic and professional journeys and that they will truly appreciate the value of this achievement in the future.
From the 2019–2020 academic session, four students who secured the highest results among all faculties were given the Dean’s Award, while 17 students who achieved the highest results in their respective departments were awarded the Merit Award.
The Dean’s and Merit Awards 2025 Ceremony was conducted by Md. Aminur Rahman, Additional Registrar of the Academic Branch.
The Vice Chancellor concluded by saying that those who have demonstrated academic excellence at Begum Rokeya University will continue to enrich the institution and contribute to its future success.
