Lionel Messi is preparing to announce his all-time favorite goal.
For a good cause: Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi, with eight Ballon d’Ors and a World Cup title to his name, will unveil his favorite goal on May 22nd, which will be transformed into art for charity auction.
Picking just one won’t be easy fir Messi, who has amassed over 800 goals during his legendary career with Argentina, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Inter Miami.
New York city will host the unveiling of the Messi-Refik Anadol signed artwork on 11th June, courtesy of Christie’s auction house.
“Choosing just one goal out of them all is very difficult” Messi said. “Each one is special in its own way, and some are really important or bring back incredible memories.”
Although it’s the first time he’s singled out a favorite, Messi feels the uniqueness of this project makes it worthwhile, and he’s genuinely happy to contribute.
