Among the recipients, 289 students received scholarships in the first phase, while 36 others have been selected to receive scholarships in a second phase, as confirmed by university authorities.

The scholarship distribution ceremony was held on Tuesday, June 24, at 3:00 PM in the university’s central gallery, where students were handed checks worth BDT 5,000 each—covering the previous five months of scholarship payments. The checks were personally handed over the awarded by JUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid.

The scholarships are being disbursed from the university’s internal fund for the fiscal year 2024–2025. Each selected student will receive BDT 1,000 per month, amounting to BDT 12,000 annually. University officials announced that monthly scholarship amount will be directly deposited into the recipients’ bank accounts at the beginning of each month.

He urged students to set clear goals, assuring them that success will follow with focus and determination. He emphasized the importance of relying on their own judgment and choosing friends wisely, noting that good friends serve as strong supporters. He expressed the university’s vision of building JUST into a humane and compassionate campus with the cooperation of its students.
