Over 130 countries came together in Chile to innovate public finance, subsidy repurposing, private sector engagement. This conference convened by UNDP.
According to H.E. Maisa Rojas, Ministry of the environment of Chile, “Today main challenge is to make biodiversity visible and recognize its critical role in economic development, social organization and the identity of our countries, bringing its understanding toa clear, measurable dimension that is integrated into national accounts and sustainable economic development.”
Also added, “As a country, we understand that solutions can’t stand alone-they must always involve in cooperation in its many forms. That is why we working on the integration of climate and biodiversity policies.”
In this conference , countries have presented 91 national plans for innovative solutions and transformation of nature values and protection.
