Rajshahi University (RU) is set to begin its interview and admission process for first-year undergraduate (Honours) students of the 2024–25 academic session from Monday, June 16. This process applies to candidates who have been placed on the merit list based on their performance in the university’s admission test.
As part of the admission procedure, all merit-listed candidates were previously required to submit their department or subject preferences online. This step was mandatory and had to be completed between May 26 and May 31. According to an official notice published on the university’s website, students who failed to complete the preference form within the given timeframe will not be considered for admission under any circumstances.
The university has clearly stated that once a candidate is allocated to a specific department based on their preference and merit, they are obligated to enroll in that department. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their candidacy in that unit, and they will no longer be eligible for admission to any department under that unit.
For Unit ‘A’, the final list of selected candidates for admission—based on seat availability and merit—will be published on the official Rajshahi University website. The interview and admission process for students listed in the final selection will begin on June 16.
In the case of Unit ‘B’, candidates listed in the first selection list will have to attend interviews on June 16 and 17, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, during regular office hours. Candidates must report at 9:00 AM to the Teachers’ Lounge (Room 208) in the Rabindranath Tagore Academic Building, where they will receive further instructions regarding the interview location. The entire admission process for Unit B must be completed between June 16 and June 19. After the deadline, no further admission will be permitted.
For Unit ‘C’, the first round of admissions is scheduled between June 16 and 18. The second round of admissions will take place on June 23 and 24, based on available seats. The second selection list for Unit C will be published on the university’s website on the afternoon of June 21.
Rajshahi University authorities have emphasized the importance of adhering to all deadlines and instructions. Students are urged to stay updated by regularly checking the university website for notices and announcements related to the admission process.
