The Japanese standards-based car plant in Gazipur, Bangladesh, is eager to emerge as a supplier of Mitsubishi Xpander and Proton cars to local users by June.
Rancon’s cutting-edge Gazipur plant has successfully completed the trial painting and assembling tasks.
Enticed by the government’s tariff cuts on imported car parts and raw materials, Rancon Auto Industries Limited is ready to leverage this opportunity.
It is expected that, as a result of the government’s reduction in import tariffs, homegrown cars will eventually become more affordable.
Fahim Hossain, Marketing Head of Rancon’s Automotive Division, said, “Families will love the Xpander, which is produced in our globally compliant Bangladeshi plant at a much more affordable price.”
He reiterated the company’s firm commitment to quality while inspecting the strict quality control measures in car painting and assembling.
Besides the Xpander, Rancon is also painting and assembling the Proton X70, with the help of 250 dedicated employees.
