Dhaka Elevated Expressway was built in 2023. It covers almost every point of the capital city of Bangladesh. It helps to reduce terrible traffic problems of Dhaka city.
Recently, Government of Bangladesh is planning to make it nation wide for making people’s life easier. It will connect the 64 districts of Bangladesh.
The main aim of this big project is reducing the use of land with the improvement of transportation system. People already experience the safest and fastest transport in Dhaka. It will spread to all over the country, if it implemented correctly.
The project will be titled Connecting 64 Districts through Elevated Highway Network. According to the Senior Officials of the Roads and Highways Department (RHD), this project is currently under the process to implement this.
A committee has already formed which will advise the process to continue this project. Like- design of this project, possibilities costs and implementation strategy.
There are 13 members in this advisory committee. And this is leaded by the Special Assistant of Chief Advisor, Sheikh Moinuddin.
Planning of this project is still in the early stage.
According to their plan, place will be mattered in design. Where it will possible to build, they will build it. But where it is not possible, they will try to plan a better highway.
The Interim Government is planning to do the work process as much as possible. Beside that, they are preparing a map for the future government can follow and complete the remaining work.
