The Surovi Foundation established by Syeda Iqbal Mand Banu. This foundation is dedicated to supporting distressed, vulnerable and displaced children and adolescents. Over the decades, this remarkable organization has illuminated the lives of nearly four million young minds through the transformation power of education.
On Tuesday, 27 May 2025, The organization has arranged a program in their Dhanmondi Branch. Dr. Zubaida Rahman, spouse of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and eminent doctor has visited the foundation on this occasion.
Executive Director of this organization, Md. Abu Taher gave her a warm greeting along with other employees and children and teenagers of this organization.
Dr. Zubaida encouraged the students and assured them of being by their side in achieving their dreams. She visited the classrooms and had a conversation with underprivileged students and listened about their activites.
She also requested the children of this foundation to show their various skills including Quran and Poetry recitation.
She visited the exhibition of Surovi’s activities that had been going on across the country for 46 years. Paintings of Surovi’s founder Syeda Iqbal Mand Banu were also there.
In this program, Dr. Zubaida has enjoyed a video which centered on Surovi.
Students of Surovi Foundation excel in Quran Recitation and translation. Also they are expert in Poetry Recitation , Singing, Dancing and several activities.
Beyond this educational programs, Surovi is deeply involved in a wide range of social welfare initiatives. In any natural disaster strikes, they promptly respond. Also, notable efforts include a tubewell replacement program spanning 41 districts, supports flood victims.
Not only this but also they organizes several computer training program for women, takes innitiatives for higher educational scholarships, distributes medical equipment. This organization also organizes regular health checkup and blood donation campaigns.
Dr. Zubaida Rahman impressed by their positive initiatives. She appreciated the organization and their works.
She also participated in special prayers there.

In this country, Bangladesh; Surovi continuing to leave a good impression and helping in country’s development in these years. There are more foundation and organization is needed worldwide to progress and safe environment. This organization is really deserve the appreciates for helping in development especially youth.
