Recently Canada is showing interest to invest in Bangladesh’s aviation sector. The country has offered very soft loan facilities for developing the infrastructure of airport.
There was a courtesy meeting held between Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Ajit Singh and Chairman Air Vice Marshal of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), Md. Monjur Kabir Bhuiya at CAAB headquarters.
After, Canada has shown interest in investing in Bangladesh’s aviation, the CAAB Chairman suggested the High Commissioner to make a formal proposal for starting the process.
If this deal is possible, Both countries will work together to develop Bangladesh’s aviation sector. Both countries exchanged their point of view on broadening bilateral corporation in the aviation sector.
These two countries are equally looking for the opportunity to deepen engagement in infrastructure and connectivity.
Infrastructure development of many important airports of Bangladesh is ongoing including Cox’s bazar airport. These plans were discussed in this meeting. Another topic of discussion were included Operational activities of existing cargo villages and plans of CAAB’s long term expansion also included in this meeting.
Other dignitaries were also presented there, like- Representatives of Canadian High Commission and Senior Officials of CAAB.
