Intestinal worms are tiny parasites that live in the human digestive system. They can get into our bodies through dirty food, unclean water, or contact with contaminated soil. Sometimes, mosquito bites can also spread them. While many types of worms exist, the ones that most commonly cause problems in humans are pinworms, roundworms, tapeworms, and whipworms.

How Do People Get Intestinal Worms?

Worms can get into the body in different ways. A common cause is eating meat from infected animals that isn’t fully cooked. You might get infected if you drink dirty water or come into contact with soil or objects that have worm eggs.   1. Turmeric – Known for its healing properties, turmeric helps clean the intestines. Mix a little turmeric in warm milk or buttermilk and drink it daily.
  2. Papaya – The seeds of raw papaya are especially powerful against worms. Mix the juice with honey and drink it in the morning for a few days.
  3. Carrots – Eating raw carrots every morning on an empty stomach can help push worms out of the body. The fiber helps clean the intestines.
  4. Neem – Neem has strong anti-parasitic properties. Mash the leaves into a paste, add some water, and drink it before eating anything.
  5. Garlic – Garlic is another strong natural remedy. Eating a few raw cloves each day can help kill worms and prevent them from coming back.
  6. Pumpkin Seeds – These seeds contain natural compounds that paralyze worms so they can be passed out in stool. Eat a spoonful of roasted pumpkin seeds mixed with water or coconut milk in the morning.
  7. Coconut – Grated coconut eaten with breakfast can help destroy certain types of worms, especially tapeworms.
  8. Cloves – Boil a few cloves in water, strain, and drink the liquid. This could help get rid of the worms and their eggs

Home remedies can be helpful in getting rid of intestinal worms, especially in mild cases. But if the problem doesn’t go away or gets worse, it’s important to see a doctor. Medical treatment can ensure the worms are completely removed and prevent further health issues.
